Aidan was finished late at night, after unscrewing every nail in the planks on the deck and removing the wood. He worked until late removing every screw. Hmm we might be finding an interest here.

The children all came away with a hand made length of rope that they helped guide though a machine.

Enjoying our study on Nova Scotia p.83-91 of Geography -Province to Province.

We are enjoying covering Nova Scotia this week or so. Some highlights are fishing,the land,Study on the Blue Nose,the children were affected by watching Donna Ward's book and video set,Pit pony. It follows a turn of the century Cape Breton boy, who must fill his fathers boots and go down into the mines. Mining,death,community,child labor,disease(rats) Cape Breton History.
