Last bits of August we were excited to have a playmate every day as he visited with us till school started.
Comraderie for Aidan. We all made it to this game as a family and Mary had lots of fun too.

Early bricklaying lego skills The children helped us stack a 100 or more bricks that we were given. THey had to stack them into a wall tightly together and in a balanced manner.
Reconnecting with our friend from the Lego Robotics team at the Surrey Educational Conventionthat we met when we were having Robotic classes at our school Resource Center. We got to drive one of the vehicles.

Baby Kellen playing with our FP record player that we found at the thrift store. We experimented, deducted and then tried strumming the stiff teeth with Motor oil. We fixed it together and now it plays beautifully. One of the babies fav toys!

Enjoying Anvil's Beach front.
A baby seal was alone by the Anvil Island Dock. The Camp Marine and Life Guards asked us to step back and be quiet as they followed Marine Protocol for the Aquarium. We noticed that the Seal pup barked like a dog!
Kids waiting in Lions Bay for the small Anvil Island boat to carry us over to the Camp that runs weekly camps all Summer. The ride takes us out into the ocean and through the Queen Charlottes and is breathtaking. We otherwise would probably not be able to take in our Northwest scenery in such a manner! We were privileged to be able to spend a day on the Island in good Company.

Creating Hummingbird syrup for the hummingbirds. We attracted a male and female who stayed for months. They fed at our Kiwi tree that is on our back porch.

Enjoying our gardening. The veggies were good enough to feed to the Bunny.The children and I are composting presently to create richer food for next year for our growing experiments. Other than our beans the other veggies did not yield very well
